Style of play

Berrettini is an aggressive player in possession of a vast repertoire of quick and explosive shots that allow him to be competitive on every surface, although on grass he is able to best express his game with top10 winning percentages ever for surface. His main weapons, compared to those of Fernando González and Juan Martín del Potro, are service and forehand. This last shot is known not only for its power, but also for its rotation and depth.

The forehand is the best shot of him, considered among the best around. It is performed by bringing the elbow backwards in order to use both the forearm and the wrist to give speed and topspin and to search for tight angles, and greater variability of the trajectories, making it difficult to read by the opponents. The two-handed backhand, one of his weaknesses, especially down the line, is a less natural shot, on which he had to work a lot. However, over the years he has perfected the one-handed technique in advance when he can find the right tempo, especially when he plays it in the slice, a shot he was forced to use following a wrist injury sustained at the age of 17.

Furthermore, he has a great technique in the use of dropshots, managing to mask them well, in order to surprise his opponents, with both fundamentals. The other main problem of his game is due to his powerful physique, which distinguishes him from all the other top 20 players, and which insists on slender leg muscles, especially calves and ankles, which need to be safeguarded with special protections. This physical characteristic of him makes him less quick in lateral movements and in footwork, being affected in the defensive phase when placed under pressure.

Berrettini and Melissa Satta then spent the evening together and there would have even been a kiss between them. The photos of their appearance in a public place are known to all thanks to Deianira Marzano, who promptly published their shot on social media. No photos of the kiss but those who were there swear they saw them in very intimate relationships.

Therefore, the recent rumors that saw Melissa in more than friendly relations with the president of Inter Steven Zhang have been denied. Matteo Berrettini and Melissa Satta, the two are allegedly dating, even in the light of the sun The Sky footage framed the two together in a Euroleague match at Olimpia Milano, a passion that unites both.
