In 2012, Tiafoe won the junior world championships, Les Petits As, in both singles and doubles with Michael Mmoh, the first tennis player and one of only 4 to have achieved it. She made her debut in the ITF Junior Circuit tournaments in August 2012 and in October 2013 she won her first category title at the Pan American ITF in Tulsa, Grade B1 tournament, beating Taylor Fritz in the final; he also won the doubles tournament, the only specialty title achieved as a junior.
