Frances Tiafoe represented Team World at the Laver Cup, an event co-founded by Roger Federer and won again this year by the team led by John McEnroe. The young American tennis player sent a very direct message to his competitors, showing all her confidence and audacity.

He told: "I think this week is showing the best tennis in months. I love this competition, the atmosphere we live in the team is fantastic and this means I can show my best performance. When I have fun, I improve my performance on the field a lot and this event is a staple in my calendar every year.

It makes me grow a lot as a tennis player and it's clear that I want to play it every chance I get. It's an incredible experience and deserves to be played by the best tennis players in the world, because I believe that thanks to this tournament we can take tennis forward a lot."

Tiafoe is known not only for the results achieved in recent seasons, but also for the show she puts on during her matches.

The American said about: "I don't think it's incompatible to take the court with the utmost ambition and compete hard with being able to have fun, involve the fans and put on a bit of a show. Smiling on the pitch gives me a special boost and energy and I think I should use the competitive spirit I have in this competition in the rest of the events this season.

I know to win I have to be aggressive, hit the ball in front and play above the baseline, but sometimes it's nice to have a little creativity and improvisation. I think I have a perfect personality for team events and I know I can contribute a lot of things because I am one of the best in the world." The American will be one of the most awaited tennis players in the last part of the season, which will start from the Asian Swing to end with the Davis Cup Finals in Malaga.
