Super Bowl

The Super Bowl is the championship game of the National Football League, the American professional football league. In the United States it is considered as the match that awards the title of world champion of this sport.

It is usually held on the last Sunday of January or the first Sunday of February, and usually records the highest TV ratings ever in the United States. The NFL uses Roman numerals to denote each Super Bowl. The only exception was made for the fiftieth, for which the Arabic numeral 50 was used instead of the Roman L.

This event is attended by world stars who have the honor of singing the US national anthem and also do their own concert. It takes place in the calendar year following the season for which it assigns the title. For example, Super Bowl VIII, which took place on January 13, 1974, decreed the champions of the 1973 season.

The defending champions for the 2022 season are the Kansas City Chiefs who beat the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII, thus winning their third title.

The trophy is the Vince Lombardi Trophy, an all-silver football in a kick-off position created by Tiffany jewelry. The trophy was named after the famous coach of Italian origin in 1971, immediately after his sudden death, to commemorate his victories in the first two Super Bowls at the helm of the Green Bay Packers. Unlike other trophies, it remains on the winning team's showcase, which is why Tiffany creates a new version every year

The Halftime Show is a musical performance that takes place during almost all American football games in the United States and Canada, between the second and third half of the game, as a source of entertainment for the spectators. During the Super Bowl, or the final of the NFL tournament, a halftime show in grand style is organized, involving artists of national and international fame, as well as entire US orchestras.
