Naomi Osaka: 'I probably smelled overwhelming at some point'

Naomi Osaka attended the Super Bowl in Arizona and revealed that it was Rihanna who made her leave the house. On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

During halftime, fans at State Farm Stadium had the opportunity to enjoy Rihanna's Super Bowl halftime show. "Only Rihanna would make me leave the house," Osaka captioned her Instagram post. After not signing up to play any tournaments at the start of the 2023 season and then also withdrawing from the Australian Open, Osaka took to Instagram to announce her pregnancy.

Also in her message, Osaka confirmed that she plans to return to playing tennis in 2024. "The last few years have been interesting to say the least, but I think life's most challenging times can be the most fun. These months away from the sport have given me a new love and appreciation for the game to which I have dedicated my life.

I realize that life is very short and I don't take any moment for granted, every day is a new blessing and a new adventure. I know I have many things to look forward to in the future. One of the things I look forward to is for my son to watch one of my games and say to someone, 'she That's my mother,' haha her.

2023 will be a year full of lessons for me and I hope to see you at the beginning of the next one because I will be in Australia in 2024. I love them infinitely. Side note: I don't think there's a perfectly right path to take in life, but I've always thought that if you move forward with good intentions, you'll eventually find your way," Osaka posted on Instagram on Jan.

Osaka on how she has been preparing for motherhood

Naomi Osaka recently opined that having a child is a life-changing experience. “I’m not really sure I can prepare,” Osaka answered. “I know there are things I can buy and classes I can take, but… This is going to be my first, and I’m really excited.

Everyone I know that has had a kid, it has changed their life. I don’t think I can prepare for it. I think I’m gonna have to go with the flow. I remember going to the mall with my mom and sister," Naomi Osaka said. "I always really loved their body mist.

As a kid, I just remember spraying it all over myself. I probably smelled overwhelming at some point, but I just remember going into the store and smelling everything and seeing how pretty the displays were."
