Benoit Paire: I feel confident, I'm having blast with French team at ATP Cup

World No. 24 Benoit Paire couldn't ask for a better start to the season as he is feeling good about his game and he is absolutely enjoying the inaugural ATP Cup with Team France. The 30-year-old Frenchman recovered from losing a tight first set to Chile's Nicolas Jarry as he beat the Chilean 6-7 (3) 6-3 6-3 in the opening rubber of the tie.

Paire's teammate Gael Monfils then came up big in the following rubber as he overcame Cristian Garin in two sets to ensure the first French win at the ATP Cup. In a doubles match which had no significance, Garin and Jarry beat Nicolas Mahut and Edouard Roger-Vasselin.

"I feel good, I feel confident and really happy to play. So it was important for me, and I think it's important for the French team because we enjoy to play together. We are very happy to be here and, honestly, with the team it's not like a normal team, it's a more fun team," Paire said, per the ATP Cup.
