The new ATP No.3 Jannik Sinner also won the ABN AMRO Open, ATP 500 played on the hard-courts of Rotterdam, the 2nd title of 2024, after the Australian Open, the 12th in his career.

Sinner won the title in Rotterdam by beating Alex De Minaur but, in general, by leveraging his ethics and profound values.

"It means a lot to win after last year, it means that I have learned from my mistakes. It is an important trophy for me, they have always helped me. The final was difficult, I tried to stay there mentally. I struggled with the service, but I can't always do everything perfectly. Now head to Indian Wells. The game is won with work during the week, there is 80-90 percent of training behind a victory.

We are consistent, we have good recovery and this makes me a better player. My head is always moving towards improvement and this brings positivity. Now I feel more confident, the results are coming. Now let's try to sort out other details in view of the next tournaments," explained Jannik to Sky Sport.

Jannik's amazing mental strength

The victory obtained in Holland is the result of the great mental strength, built by Sinner in recent months, because the Italian has overcome the difficult moments with extreme calm, always trusting in his ability to bring home the points that count most in the clutch moments of the matches .

Only three players, in the last 10 years, have been able to start a season with 12 consecutive successes, and they are Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, coincidentally the Big 3. A statistic that does nothing but give further value to the super departure of the 22 year old Italian tennis player.
