The Ohio State University men's tennis team beat the Georgia Bulldogs 4-3 on Friday afternoon. The match, originally scheduled for Thursday night, was postponed due to inclement weather and rain in the Orlando area. Ohio State will now face TCU's Horned Frogs today, Saturday at noon.
TCU is coming off a 4-1 victory in the quarterfinals over No. 7 Michigan. On the other side of the scoreboard, Texas will face Virginia. The final championship game is set for Sunday at 12:00. Georgia would take an early lead after securing the doubles point, but the Buckeyes didn't give up and had four singles hits.
Those four wins came from James Trotter, Jack Anthrop, Cannon Kingsley and a thrilling freshman Alexander Bernard to seal the victory. Ohio State has now won 18 straight games en route to the NCAA Semifinal with TCU. This is the Buckeyes' seventh trip to the semifinals under head coach Ty Tucker.
