Berlin's Mercedes-Benz Arena will host the seventh edition of the Laver Cup between September 20-22. Team Europe suffered a heavy loss to Team World in Vancouver last year, and they will make sure to turn the tables in seven and a half months.

Bjorn Borg's squad had signed world no. 2 Carlos Alcaraz before adding Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev to the Blue team! Team Europe will seek the first Laver Cup crown since 2021, gathering notable top-10 players ahead of Team World's first nominees.

Zverev has been the lucky charm for Team Europe, competing at the first four editions and lifting as many trophies! Alexander debuted for Team Europe in Prague 2017, beating Denis Shapovalov in two tie breaks and adding another win on Day 3 versus Sam Querrey.

Alexander Zverev and Daniil Medvedev will play the Laver Cup.

The German returned in Chicago 2018 and overpowered John Isner in a thriller. On the third day, Zverev joined forces with Roger Federer and scored another tight triumph over Kevin Anderson, wrapping up the title for Team Europe.

Alexander went three from three in Geneva 2019, delivering the decisive point for Team Europe in a tight victory. Federer avd Zverev scored the doubles win on the first day before losing to John Isner on Day two. Alexander took down Milos Raonic 6-4, 3-6, 10-4 in an hour and 29 minutes, starting a massive celebration with his teammates.

They traded a couple of breaks in the opening two sets before the German grabbed five mini-breaks in the match tie break, propelling Team Europe over the top.

Team Europe destroyed Team World in Boston 2021, and Zverev added two wins, one with Andrey Rublev and the other against John Isner in a thriller.

Daniil Medvedev made a strong Laver Cup debut that year, beating Denis Shapovalov 6-4, 6-0. The Russian dominated on serve and return, breaking the Canadian once in the opener and delivering a bagel in the second set to secure two points for Team Europe.

That remains Daniil's only Laver Cup match, with more coming in September. Interestingly, Medvedev and Zverev competed in the Australian Open semi-final, with the Russian overcoming two sets to love deficit en route to his third title clash in Melbourne.

As usual, there was tension between two great rivals, but they are ready to work together in Berlin and regain the trophy for Team Europe. The captain Bjorn Borg is confident about their chances, with three strong players who should be the favorites against their Team World rivals.
