Jannik Sinner has no doubts about the future. After his first Slam title at the Australian Open, the young Italian did not indulge in huge celebrations and wants to continue pushing to get to the top of the world rankings.

A clear goal in mind, which must be achieved with constant work on the pitch and in the gym. Sinner gave an interview to ATP Media, talking about this very topic.

"I don't like talking about ATP ranking. I just try to be happy on the pitch and improve as a player. This is the only thing I can control, the rest I can't. I'm happy to be ATP No.4 right now. Definitely my dream is to become the new ATP No.1. I will work as hard as I can to make it happen," explained the young Italian.

Jannik has special words for his parents, after the splendid Sunday that gave him the triumph in Melbourne.

"It's strange for me and I imagine it's even stranger for them. I haven't seen my family yet, I'll see them after this tournament. Maybe after that I'll go to my parents' house," he said, highlighting a very particular aspect: "Anyway we call and there are some journalists outside my parents' house. Surely everything has changed a bit, but on the other hand I'm the same person I was before Australia. Even my parents are the same. They go to work as usual. Everything's fine," Sinner said.

Jannik is playing in Rotterdam

In these minutes, Sinner is playing his first round at the ATP in Rotterdam and, a few hours before the match, he said: "The conditions, as I have felt them so far, are quite fast.

Service is really important. I still have to understand a little how the ball bounces. Sometimes it goes fast, sometimes it stops. It's good that I'm here early. I'm trying to get used to the conditions. I can't tell you until after the first game."
