Darren Cahill: "Jannik Sinner made another great performance in Rotterdam"

Darren Cahill is fully satisfied with the work that Jannik Sinner is carrying out together with him and all the staff. The Australian coach wanted to express his happiness after the final reached by the Italian athlete at the ATP 500 in Rotterdam, which represents further confirmation of the blue's growth in the ATP Tour at the beginning of the 2023 season.

The talented 21-year-old was able to beat a top 3 tennis player for the first time in his career, the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas and in the final act of the tournament he only had to surrender to the strength of the Russian Daniil Medvedev, who proved to be stronger in the second and third sets when he raised the level of the game.

However, the result did not leave a bad taste in the mouth: "Another great performance and week at the Abn Amro Open. Well done Jannik! " are Cahill's compliments in a message posted on social media. The coach then added: "Great victory by Daniil in the final, it was a really wonderful match." The Australian also spoke of the sensations he had from returning to Holland: "34 years have passed since my last visit to Rotterdam, it has become a great tournament.

The venue, the facilities, the staff, the volunteers, the guys, the company areas, wheelchair events and fans make this a great indoor event. Congratulations to all attendees."

Darren believes so much in Italian potential and talent: the coach now follows the athlete's and Simone Vagnozzi's work step by step, with the aim of continuing to improve and obtain important results on the tour.

The next stage for everyone is the ATP 250 in Marseille, where they arrived on Monday. Sinner's work will soon begin in preparation for his debut in the French competition, with the intention of surprising and trying to get to the bottom of the draw.

The first opponent who will show up on the road will be the very young home player Arthur Fils, already faced in Montpellier, or the Russian Roman Safiullin.
