Golf fans are questioning why Tiger Woods withdrew from the Genesis Invitational. Despite eagerly awaiting his performance on Friday, Woods decided to leave the course after completing six holes and his seventh tee shot. Many believed that his withdrawal was due to an injury causing him problems. However, the reality is quite different. Woods's agent, Rob McNamara, confirmed in a media interview that Woods had flu-like symptoms. Although he expected to endure, Woods ultimately ran out of strength and realized it was best to withdraw.

"He started feeling some flu-like symptoms last night [on Thursday]. Woke up this morning [Friday], they were worse than the night previous. He had a little bit of a fever and that was better during the warm-up, but then when he got out there and was walking and playing, he started feeling dizzy."- McNamara said, as quoted by golfmonthly.com

Rob McNamara: Tiger Woods was dehydrated

In a media interview, McNamara revealed that Woods was dehydrated. However, it seems that this brilliant golfer is now feeling much better. It must be emphasized that Woods has been unlucky considering everything that has happened to him in the last two years. His love for golf is stronger than anything, and we do not doubt that we will soon have the opportunity to see Woods in action again

"Ultimately, the doctors are saying he's got potentially some type of flu and that he was dehydrated. He's been treated with an IV bag and he's doing much, much better."- he continued.

Woods spoke at the press conference after the first round about back spasms in the last few holes. This is one of the reasons why fans believed Woods decided to withdraw from the tournament. However, his agent denied that the reason for withdrawal was any physical symptoms. Woods now faces a recovery period and hopes to return as soon as possible.
