The Canadian Open, also known as the National Bank Open and formerly the Rogers Cup for sponsorship reasons, is a men's and women's tennis tournament.

The men's tournament belongs to the Masters 1000 category, which is the most important category after the four Grand Slam tournaments and the ATP Finals, as well as the women's tournament which belongs to the WTA 1000 category.

The competition takes place annually in August in the cities of Toronto and Montréal, which alternate each year in hosting the men's and women's tournament. The main field in Montreal is Stade IGA and in Toronto it is Sobeys Stadium.

The event is one of the longest-running in tennis history, born just after the Wimbledon Championships and the US Open. The men's tournament was held for the first time in 1881 at the Toronto Lawn Tennis Club, while the women's tournament was held for the first time in 1892.

Ivan Lendl is the player who has won the most editions, with six victories in 1980, 1981, 1983, 1987, 1988 and 1989.
