ATP Rio 2022: Carlos Alcaraz vs Schwartzman's HIGHLIGHTS
by LORENZO CIOTTI
Carlos Alcaraz is even more in history. The very young Spanish tennis player has set one of the first records of what promises to be an extraordinary career, becoming the youngest player to win an ATP 500 tournament since this record was established.
The Spaniard also reaches his Best Ranking becoming number 20 in the world and anticipating the times even more. Diego Schwartzman offers a good performance but can do nothing against the tenacity and power of the young Spaniard, solid as never before this week.
The Argentine starts well and goes straight to 2-0, but it is the only real flicker of the match with Alcaraz who responds immediately and gets the decisive break in the ninth game. The second set sees Carlos raise the pace while the Argentine feels the blow and in a short time is immediately down 4 to 1, the match in just under an hour and a half ends with the result of 6-4; 6-2.
