Tokyo Open: Veronika Kudermetova makes good of a huge opportunity
Earlier this week in the Japanese capital, the 26-year-old had upset former world no.

Now I’m really happy and I have a lot of motivation for the next weeks”. The Tokyo Open title round was the second time in 2023, Veronika Kudermetova had reached the final of a WTA event. Earlier during the grass season, she’d reached the final of the Libema Open in S’Hertogenbosch (l.
to Ekaterina Alexandrova). This is also the second time the 19th-ranked Kudermetova claimed a place at the podium. Her maiden title came at the 2021 Charleston Open. Following this result, on Monday, Kudermetova will now be ranked 16th in the world.
