The Italian overcame the Frenchman Gael Monfils in three sets, with some problems in the second set and some elbow discomfort. Jannik analyzed the match he won, reassuring everyone about his physical condition.

In fact, during the match against the Frenchman, Sinner showed some pain in his right elbow.

"Every day is different here in Rotterdam, my physiotherapist is also there, sometimes I feel the muscle harder, we try to work on it a little, sometimes I feel it, sometimes not and so I think there's just a bit of muscle hardening I don't think there's anything to worry about, I'm pretty calm," he said.

Sinner analyzed the match against Monfils

"I think that in the end it was a positive match, today I was in more difficulty, I wasn't at 100%. There weren't many rallies in the match, I reacted well in the important points in the first and third sets.

In the second my attention dropped a little and the partial went away. It's never easy to play against someone like Monfils. You have to be careful in every match and in the quarterfinals I have to be even more careful, it's increasingly difficult because you're in the quarterfinals against a player like Milos Raonic who I've never played against in my career.

It will be a tough match but I'm ready to face this new challenge, I hope it can be a good match even if there won't be much pace. We haven't seen him on the pitch for quite a while, he has had time to recover, adjust and change certain things. I don't know how much more I can say about the match, the only thing that matters is that I will give 100%," explained Sinner.

The match between Sinner and Raonic in a few hours in Rotterdam, after the quarter-final which sees the Dutch Griekspoor on the pitch against the Finnish Ruusuvuori. The other two quarter-finals will be played in the afternoon and will see Dimitrov and Shevchenko and De Minaur and Rublev on the field.
