ATP 's-Hertogenbosch: Adrian Mannarino stuns Daniil Medvedev with a crazy point
by LORENZO CIOTTI
It is undoubtedly the surprise of the day, which left many tennis fans speechless who did not expect such an ending. Daniil Medvedev lost his debut grass race at the ATP 250 in 's-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands. The number one seed in the main draw had to give way to the Frenchman Adrian Mannarino, who gave himself the first victory of his career against a player in the world's top 3.
The point that started the great comeback of the transalpine was precisely the set point in the second set, which made it possible to obtain the decisive break on the Russian. An endless exchange, almost like a video game, between the two: Mannarino, who went to the net after a long series of shots together with his opponent, attempted the lob twice; the native of Moscow failed to close the point with a smash and in the end the Frenchman found the winning forehand to equalize the set count.
Lots of applause from the Dutch public, who particularly appreciated the duel between the two athletes. Adrian, certainly more at ease on this surface and in this tournament he won in 2019, was able to take advantage of the chance to overtake Medvedev.
The number two in the Race, the ranking that counts for qualifying for the ATP Finals in Turin, didn't start well on the grass and will have to try to redeem himself at the 500 in Halle. Here is the crazy video of the point, shared on the social channels by Tennis TV.
In the other great match of the first part of the tournament, Jannik Sinner's season on grass started in the best way.UNBELIEVABLE 🤯

The South Tyrolean made his debut at the Libema Open and got rid of him with a score of 6-4, 6-2 from Alexander Bublik, an opponent always difficult to overcome on this surface due to his unpredictable and spectacular tennis .
The Italian responded very effectively throughout the match and, despite the numerous unconverted chances, he had the merit of never letting himself be influenced. Suffice it to say that in the first set Sinner took the lead only on the seventh break point granted to him by the Kazakh
