ATP Geneva: Nicolas Jarry tops Alexander Zverev and serves revenge

Nicolas Jarry is through to his fifth ATP final and the second in Geneva. Four years after losing the title clash against Alexander Zverev, Jarry served revenge and beat a better-ranked opponent 7-6, 6-3 in an hour and 46 minutes.

Zverev failed to reach his first final of the season, experiencing three mini-breaks in the tie break and losing serve once in the second to propel Jarry through. Nicolas made the difference with his first serve, keeping the second safe and facing one break point in the entire match.

He saved it and grabbed one return game in the second set to seal the deal in straight sets and arrange the title clash against Grigor Dimitrov. Alexander held at 15 in the encounter's first game, and Nicolas responded with a service winner in the next one for 1-1.

They settled into a fine rhythm behind the initial shot, and Zverev moved 2-1 up with a booming serve.
