University of North Carolina men's team defeated by TCU after an epic challenge

The University of North Carolina men's tennis team was defeated by TCU 4-3 at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center, following an epic matchup. Tar Heels will be back in action next Sunday February 12 at home at 13:00 against Elone.

As reported by the NCU website, the Tar Heels rallied and took the lead twice in singles after the Horned Frogs had won the doubles point. TCU's Lui Maxted dropped the first set to Anuj Watane, but came back to win the decider at No.

5 in singles, 5-7, 6-4, 6-1. The Horned Frogs improved to 7-0 with the win, while Carolina fell to 5-2. Both teams will be part of the 16-team field at the ITA National Team Indoor Championship February 17-20 in Chicago. Head coach Sam Paul explained: "Thank you to TCU, they've played a good doubles point.

We're just not playing full games in doubles yet, so we need to keep working on that a bit. I'm happy with how we responded in singles. We've had some positive points. I'm excited about our spring. It's early, it's February, we just have to keep working hard."
