The PGA Tour golfers continue to battle it out in the WM Phoenix Open, with a prize purse of $8.8 million. The event, which originated in 1932 and was known until a few seasons ago as the FBR Open, has reached the end of its second day.

Weather conditions forced the organizers to suspend the second round, with several participants yet to tee off at the 1st hole. As a result, the leaderboard is largely to be rewritten, but still provides some noteworthy indications.

At the top of the leaderboard, we find Canadian Nick Taylor and American Andrew Novak. Both lead the leaderboard with a score of -12 (130 strokes) and hold a two-stroke lead over American Maverick McNealy.

Doug Ghim holds fourth place at -9. The 27-year-old from Las Vegas will have to complete the final two holes of the second round tonight to further close the gap with the leaders. Australian Ryan Fox (15) and Americans Scottie Scheffler, Justin Thomas, and Cameron Young are tied for fifth place at -8.

On the par 71 course at TPC Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Arizona, the Americans Charley Hoffman, Kurt Kitayama, Sam Burns, and Daniel Berger, along with Venezuelan Jhonattan Vegas, close the top ten at ninth place with a score of -7.

Vegas was halted at the 16th hole and will therefore have to complete his second round. Among the top performers of the day is Sam Stevens. The American climbs 29 positions with a round of -5, rising to 14th place with an overall score of -6.

The leaderboard is still incomplete, with players of the caliber of Sahith Theegala, who was second with -6 after the first round, needing to complete the entire round. The battle to avoid the cut is also affected by the stoppage for several participants, who will resume their journey starting at 15:30 Italian time.

There will be a substantial double shift in Phoenix, useful for aligning with the final and decisive round scheduled for Sunday. The PGA Tour is an organization that hosts major professional golf tours in the United States.
