There are still no certainties about the planning he will do regarding the preparation tournaments in Paris such as the ATP Master 1000 in Monte Carlo, Madrid and Rome.
David Massey, CEO of the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters, highlighted at the press conference to present the tournament, which will be held this year from 6 to 14 April, that the Spaniard intends to start his clay season in the Principality.
"I spoke to his team and they confirmed that he wants to play in Monte Carlo after taking part in Indian Wells. We keep our fingers crossed for his health but we hope and trust that he will be able to come. He has already won the tournament 11 times and could be looking for a twelfth triumph," he explained.
