The Eastbourne International, also known as Rothesay International and previously Nature Valley International and AEGON International for sponsorship reasons, is a men's and women's professional tennis tournament on the ATP Tour and the WTA Tour.
It has been held annually since 1974 in Eastbourne, UK and is played on the grass courts of Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club. It is considered a build-up event for the Wimbledon Championships.
The Eastbourne International was inaugurated in 1974 as a women's tournament on the major circuit and between 1989 and 2008 was part of the Tier II category. In 2009 the first edition of the men's tournament was held, which was part of the ATP Tour 250 category, and in that same edition the women's tournament became part of the new WTA Premier category.
The men's tournament is not played in 2015 and 2016 and is reinstated in 2017. The 2020 edition is not played due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, the women's tournament moves into the upper category of the WTA 500 tournaments.
