The Monmouth University gets a new important recognition. The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Monday that seven student-athletes on Monmouth University's men's tennis team have been named ITA Scholar-Athletes. Additionally, for the eighth consecutive season, Monmouth was named to the ITA All-Academic Team.
All ITA Scholar athletes must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form. To be named an ITA-All Academic Team, a program must have a team grade point average of at least 3.2 or higher.
In addition, teams must be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and all varsity letter winners must be factored into the team's cumulative GPA for the current academic year. Monmouth's ITA student-athletes are listed: Vittorio Castro, Luca Silva, Dmitry Bezborodov, Gabriele Busato, Artù Dussaubat, Diego Laporta, Niels Van Noord.
