Errani: 'I was beating Serena Williams, Petra Kvitova without realizing it'

In an interview to Punto de Break, Italian player Sara Errani recalled the time when she was at the top and she played against the best girls in the world. Errani said: "Every time I played match with Kvitova, García, Serena, Sharapova, Stosur, etc.

I saw them in front of me and I could not believe at it. I thought: 'They serve better than me, they hit a better forehand and backhand than me, they are stronger physically than me... What we play to?'" But she was still winning.

"And do not ask me how (laughter). Pablo (Lozano, her coach) helped me a lot, from outside he was always figuring out the key, he saw a little thing and we could maximise it. Sometimes I was leaving the court without knowing how I would do it, but I still managed to beat them." Asked how she sees the end of her career, Errani replied: "It's difficult to answer, most of all to find a way.

Now I look at how people retire and I am impressed, I cried a lot with David Ferrer's retirement. I think I would not be able to do how he did, to announce that from here to one year I leave, I could not cope with this kind of attention.

Then you go the tournaments and it's nice, they pay you tributes but I feel that's not my way. When I decide it, I will retire without saying it before. The main thing is to feel well again, but if I achieve it, how will I stop?"
