Belgian tennis player Steve Darcis will serve as a coach to fellow compatriot Yanina Wickmayer at this week's WTA Nottingham. World No. 98 Wickmayer is due to meet 156th-ranked Katie Boulter in the first round. The Belgian is playing at the event for the fourth consecutive year.
Wickmayer made the quarter-final in 2015 before she lost in round one in 2016 and in the last-16 last year. Wickmayer also entered the Nottingham doubles event with Johanna Konta -- but their doubles campaign didn't last long as they lost to Zarina Diyas and Saisai Zheng in the first round on Monday.
34-year-old Darcis hasn't played a match this year due to an elbow injury. The Belgian hasn't played since losing in the fifth deciding rubber of the Davis Cup final to France's Lucas Pouille. The 34-year-old held a press conference in May to announce that he's calling it a season as his goal is to get healthy and return to competitive action next year.
