15-year-old Diane Parry makes history at the French Open

Earlier this year we saw Marta Kostyuk reaching the Australian Open main draw third round at 15 years of age. Now it's another 15-year-old, Diane Parry, to be on the headlines during a Grand Slam. The French player, who was born in September 2002 and isn't a WTA ranked player, reached the French Open qualifying draw second round, becoming the first player born in 2002 to do it.

Parry, who was born in Nice but resides in Boulogne-Billancourt, got a wildcard invitation from the organizers and took the opportunity in the best possible way, beating the Croatian Jana Fett, world No. 109 and fifth-seeded player, 7-6, 1-6 7-5.

The lefty player will now face the Slovak Rebecca Sramkova, No. 346, in the second round. ALSO READ: World's Most Famous Athletes: Roger Federer's ranking position revealed
