Spanish tennis player Sara Sorribes Tormo couldn't hide her happiness after surprising four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka in Madrid. Sorribes Tormo, ranked at No. 47 in the world, delivered a great performance on Sunday as she beat Osaka 6-3 6-1 to progress into the Madrid round-of-16 for the first time in her career.
Sorribes Tormo claimed the first break of the match in the third game but got broken back in the fourth game. Blowing an early break didn't impact Sorribes Tormo, who broke Osaka again in the fifth and ninth games to win the first set.
After winning the first set, Sorribes Tormo started the second set with an early 3-0 lead. Sorribes Tormo then earned her fifth break of the match in the sixth game. before serving out for the match in the following game.

Sorribes Tormo noticed Osaka was dealing with something but she gave her best not to get distracted. “She started to do some squats, like she was not feeling 100%, and I say, Okay, maybe it's gonna be good for me. So I was just trying to be in every single point and don't think too much, but at the same time, we need to make it as long as possible," Sorribes Tormo added.
