Anastasia Potapova and Alexander Shevchenko have announced their engagement. Potapova and Shevchenko, both 22 years old, started dating in late 2022. Their relationship seems to be absolutely blossoming and Shevchenko decided to take it to another level.

In an Instagram post, Potapova and Shevchenko shared that Potapova said "Yes" when Shevchenko popped the question.

In June, Potapova opened up about her relationship with Shevchenko, revealing that at first she had doubts about how it was going to work because of their different schedules.

But Potapova and Shevchenko were able to find a good balance. “We’ve been dating for six months. Obviously, I didn’t know how it was going to work because scheduling in tennis is never easy. But somehow we’ve been able to manage it and in fact, it’s like we’ve spent every week together and we see each other a lot, which is a very good thing," Potapova told tennis.com in June.

On the court, 2023 has also been positive for Potapova and Shevchenko. Potapova, who is now ranked at No 26 in the world, landed her second WTA title this year and also achieved a career-high ranking of No 21 in June. On the other side, Shevchenko also made some notable results as he has won two Challenger titles and reached back-to-back Masters third-round in Madrid and Rome.

Also, Shevchenko broke into the top-100 for the first time in his career this year and achieved a career-high ranking of No 86. “It’s really helpful to have someone who can support you, not just on your team, but someone you’re close to.

He’s someone who not only knows tennis but also wants what is best for you. Even if I play like s---, he’s still going to support me, so that’s very nice to have someone like this on the tour. He understands," Potapova said at the time.
