Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremska will work with coach Sascha Bajin during the US Open. Bajin is one of the most respected coaches on the WTA Tour, having previously worked with former world No. 1 Karolina Pliskova.
After two seasons together, Bajin and Pliskova split this past July. Now, Bajin is set to accompany Yastremska during the US Open. Once Yastremska's US Open campaign is finished, they will likely then make a final decision on their partnership and work out all the details regarding their partnership.
"We decided to play the US Open together, and after this tournament, we will discuss everything precisely," Yastremska told Ukrainian Tennis.
Dayana Yastremska confirmed to our website that she & coach Sascha Bajin will work together at the US Open.

Yastremska gets herself a very respected coach
Bajin didn't help Pliskova win her first Grand Slam title but the Czech did have success while with Bajin.
Last year, Pliskova reached the Wimbledon final before losing to Ashleigh Barty. During their stint, there was a period when Pliskova was ranked at the top spot in the world. But Pliskova announced they were splitting after this year's Wimbledon.
"Even good things something comes to an end. I would like to thank Sascha Bajin for everything he did for me and my team. It was an incredible time and i learned a lot! Mainly how to be more positive and believe in myself :) One of the best coaches out there, good luck my friend," Pliskova announced on Twitter last month.
Yastremska is currently the 86th-ranked player in the world. In recent weeks, Yastremska hasn't been playing really well as she hasn't had a win since mid-June. Yastremska has lost her last six matches and she isn't really in an impressive form going into the US Open.
In the US Open first round, Yastremska faces Madison Keys, who is coming off of a Cincinnati semifinal appearance. Keys is the favorite and it will be interesting to see if Yastremska can shock the American.
