Linda Noskova on picture with Serena Williams: Will be my wallpaper forever

Rising Czech tennis star Linda Noskova reveals computer wallpaper is a photo of her sharing the court with Serena and Venus Williams. Noskova, who turned 18 in November, was a part of tennis history as she played Serena in the American's final doubles match.

In the US Open first round, Noskova and fellow Czech Lucie Hradecka took on the Williams sisters and claimed a 7-6 (5) 6-4. “Yeah, I have my wallpaper. It's going to stay there forever," Noskova told the WTA Tour website.

Noskova, who achieved a career-high ranking of No 87 in August, is one of the most promising and talented players in the world. The Czech Republic has a rich tennis history as has produced many Grand Slam champions and world No 1s.

“I would say that tennis in our country is very popular thanks to them. There's a lot of tennis clubs, a lot of coaches, a lot of tennis players starting playing tennis from young ages," Noskova explained.

Noskova very much likes the French Open

In 2021, Noskova won the French Open girls' singles title.

This year, Noskova won three qualifying matches to make her Grand Slam debut at the French Open. After winning three qualifying matches, Noskova made 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu work extremely hard during their first-round match.

In the end, Noskova fell short to Raducanu in three sets as the Briton recovered from a set down to win 6-7 (4) 7-5 6-1. “I always liked the French Open. This year, it was just an amazing experience for me. And I was just really, really glad that I can just take a look at what really is [happening in] these Grand Slams.

I was just really lucky to get into the main draw and play Emma Raducanu, which was really great as well," Noskova said.
