Aryna Sabalenka was letting her team hear it while she was down bad against Madison Keys and afterward revealed it was something they agreed she should do in situations like that. Sabalenka, seeded at No 2, was getting dismantled by Keys early on in their US Open semifinal as the American won the first set 6-0 and then also broke the Belarusian in the third game of the second set for a 2-1 lead.

At that moment, Sabalenka got extremely annoyed as she lost her cool and also threw her racket. Although Keys had a 6-0 5-3 lead, Sabalenka managed to create a stunning comeback and win 0-6 7-6 (1) 7-6 (5). Had Sabalenka lost to Keys, it would have been her third consecutive Grand Slam semifinal defeat.

Sabalenka on screaming, swearing at her team

“They fired, they're not my team anymore. It's all their fault. No, no. I mean, we spoke a lot after those tough semifinals and we spoke that if I need to throw those emotions, I have to do it.

Otherwise, I'll just, I don't know eat myself from the inside. So that's why I was just like yelling, screaming, swearing to them. I mean I think they know that I still love them. It's just for better, you know, it's for a good for a good reason.

I don't know guys, it's too late. I am really struggling speaking, especially English,” Sabalenka said in her on-court interview after her win.

When Keys went 6-0 5-3 up, Sabalenka had her back turned against the wall.

But then, Sabalenka made a stunning comeback to set up a US Open final against Coco Gauff. "You just have to keep trying, keep staying there, and keep pushing it. Maybe you'll be able to turn around this game. Lucky me, somehow magically, I don't know how I was able to turn around this game," Sabalenka said.
