The Cowgirls have made history! The Oklahoma State University women's tennis team won the first ITA National Team Indoor Championships program of its history, thanks to a thrilling and incredible 4-3 victory over Michigan, Seattle.

The win is Oklahoma State's second of the season against the Wolverines, the first coming Jan. 19 at the Greenwood Tennis Center. Now, the Cowgirls will look to keep their season undefeated on Feb. 17 in Tempe, Arizona as they take on the Arizona State Sun Devils at 1 p.m.

The win against Michigan

Anastasiya Komar and Ange Oby Kajuru beat Kari Miller and Jaeden Brown 6-2. The doubles point was won soon after, when Ayumi Miyamoto and Raquel Gonzalez defeated Anna Ross and Lily Jones 6-3.

The game between Safiya Carrington and Kristina Novak with Piper Charney and Reese Miller remained unfinished at 5-5, due to the timing of the Cowgirls taking the point.

In singles, Kajuru beat Fligner 6-0, 6-1, and Novak beat Lily Jones, 6-2, 6-4. The two wins gave the Cowgirls a 3-0 lead and moved them one point away from the title.

On the brink of the abyss, the Wolverines won their next three games. Michigan's Charney got them back on the right foot, beating Miyamoto 6-3, 6-2.

Jaeden Brown took the next point for the Wolverines, beating Safiya Carrington, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4). The third consecutive point was obtained with Gala Mesochoritou who beat Lucia Peyre in three sets, 1-6, 6-3, 6-4.

In a tie, all eyes were on court one as Komar won for the Cowgirls, defeating Miller, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.
