Yoshihito Nishioka drops major praise on Nick Kyrgios after Washington final

Japanese tennis player Yoshihito Nishioka was impressed by the serving display Nick Kyrgios put up during the Washington final. On Sunday, Kyrgios handed Nishioka a 6-4 6-3 loss to win his second Washington title. Kyrgios faced one break point during the match and easily saved it after a good service.

After the final, Nishioka called Kyrgios the best server on the Tour and described his serve as the toughest to deal with in tennis. "Well, I think he has the best service on tour, No. 1," Nishioka said, per Sportskeeda. "Well, it's not just service.

Service game. It's, I think, most tough to break his service game on the tour. That's what I think."

Nishioka predicted it would be hard to deal with Kyrgios' serve

Before the final, Nishioka admitted it would probably be impossible to beat Kyrgios with a good service day.

"You know, if he making 80% first service, I can't do anything," Nishoka said. "So sometimes like going to sometimes happen, but like sometimes not. If I have chances, if I get it, maybe I have chance to win. If I don't, maybe I lose.

So we'll see how it's going, and then just enjoy the day tomorrow." Kyrgios won 88% of his first serve points, while he won 64% percent of his second serve points. There was only one game when Kyrgios was struggling a bit on his service and that's when Nishioka managed to clinch his first and lone break point.

Apart from that, Nishioka didn't really stand any chance in Kyrgios' service games. In five matches played in Washington, Kyrgios didn't drop a single service game. Kyrgios has been serving incredibly well since the grass season and his serve has played a major in his recent success.

Now, Kyrgios switches his focus onto the Montreal Masters. Kyrgios plays Sebastian Baez in the Montreal first round, while Washington runner-up Nishioka faces Benoit Paire in his opener.
