Andy Murray would have launched a dig to the Serbian champion Novak Djokovic, after the controversies linked to the Davis Cup quarterfinal match between Serbia and Great Britain. Djokovic harshly criticized some British fans during his first match in the final stages of the competition, and also at the end, both in on-court interviews and in the subsequent press conference.

The fans behaved questionably towards the Serbian who, on the court, responded to the provocations. The 36-year-old tennis player didn't appreciate the boos on set point, blowing kisses towards them. And he also couldn't stand the interruptions while he spoke at the end of the match on the court: "Learn to respect the players, learn to respect people.

You shut up, you shut up," the Serb said towards the fan.

Andy Murray also intervened on the issue through a rather controversial message on X, which would seem to be a new dig towards the champion of 24 Slam titles.

The Scotsman, who praised the support of English fans in Spain, wrote: "Difficult Friday night for the boys in Malaga. A huge thank you to all the fans who made a great effort to travel out there and create a brilliant atmosphere for the athletes," he said, adding the applause emoji.

Then he concluded: "Davis Cup without you is same as..(adding thumbs down emoticon)" Of course, it came criticism from Serbian fans. Their reactions were not long in coming under the post shared by the 36-year-old from Glasgow, who was unable to take part in the battle due to an injury.

Several Serbs pointed out that the attitudes of the British in the stands had crossed the line, especially when they almost prevented Nole from speaking on the pitch during the usual post-match interview.
