Christopher Eubanks turns pro

American tennis player Christopher Eubanks has turned professional. The 21-year-old decided to not attend his senior year at Georgia Tech.

The former Yellow Jacket had positive records in both singles (90-33) and doubles (53-42) during his college days.

Eubanks received the USTA/ITA Sportsmanship Award a year ago and the 2017 ITA Arthur Ashe, Jr. Leadership and Sportsmanship Award.

"I can't possibly put into words how thankful I am for my time at Georgia Tech," Eubanks said. "I can truly say that I've been extremely blessed to have had the opportunity to play at an institute such as this. It has been a great three years and I've made friendships and relationships that will last a lifetime. I'm incredibly excited for what's ahead and ready to embark on this new journey in my life."

Eubanks, a 6ft 7in tall player, played a couple of events during this past US hard-court swing.

The 21-year-old reached the Atlanta quarter-finals before he lost in the Cincinnati Masters and US Open first-round.

Eubanks is currently sitting at his career-high singles ranking of world No. 309.
