Serena Williams' ex-coach sees bit of Roger Federer, Andre Agassi in Sebastian Korda

Serena Williams' childhood coach Rick Macci sees a bit of Roger Federer and Andre Agassi in Sebastian Korda. Korda, 22, is one of the most promising players on the Tour and Macci believes the American has the talent to "win multiple Grand Slam titles." After reaching the French Open and Wimbledon round-of-16 as a teenager, Korda went a step further earlier this year and made his first Grand Slam quarterfinal at the Australian Open.

Unfortunately for Korda, he suffered a wrist injury at the Australian Open and was forced to retire his quarterfinal match against Karen Khachanov. It was an unfortunate end to Korda's Australian Open run but Macci saw enough to consider the 22-year-old "the most talented American man."

"I think Sebastian Korda, in my opinion, he is the leader in the clubhouse.

He is the most talented American. Kind of hits the forehand like Federer and his backhand is like Agassi. I mean it's automatic. I think he can win multiple Grand Slams. I don't think you can look at it and say 'Why can't they hit a backhand?' because I can tell you a handful of guys that have amazing backhands and I can start right at the top of my head with Korda and Fritz who are in the mix right now.

Let's see when Korda gets healthy," Macci said on the Tennis Unfiltered podcast, per Sportskeeda. After being out for three months due to a wrist injury, Korda made his comeback at the Madrid Masters, where he was beaten by Hugo Grenier in his opener.

Recently, Korda hired well-known strength and conditioning coach Jez Green. In the past, Green famously worked with Andy Murray for several years. Also, Green had stints with Emma Raducanu and Dominic Thiem. It remains to be seen if Korda can get stronger with the addition of Green to his team.
