The ATP Tour does not stop completely and in recent weeks several ATP 250 or ATP 500 tournaments are being held, with many interesting matches.
This week the ATP tournament in Washington is disputed, a tournament that showcases many talents, especially some US players.
Among these one of the favorites is the American tennis player Sebastian Korda. The tennis player will play against the young and talented Ukrainian Alexander Shevchenko and will definitely start as a favourite. The preparation phase continues in view of the next important commitments in the ATP Tour.
The first top tournament will take place on August 7 with the Masters 1000 in Montreal, then the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati and finally the big end-of-summer appointment with the US Open. Korda talked about this and much more at the press conference, recalling his great relationship with tennis champion and former world number one André Agassi.
Everyone knows Agassi's good relationship with the Korda family with the tennis player's father Petr Korda being a great friend of the tennis player.
Sebastian Korda revealed how US icon André Agassi is special for him
Sebastian spoke thus at the press conference: "André Agassi? He is a very special person for me, he is a sort of mentor for me and having someone like that by my side is something special, an honor." A few jokes about the relationship between the two could not be missing: "I'm sure André almost always played at night while my father played at one when he got very hot, from here they faced each other in the final and André destroyed him!
However he sees life differently from everyone else, he is a big hearted person. He sees this sport differently and thinks different things. Washington? It's one of my favorite stops on the circuit, experiencing this tournament up close is fantastic.
It's all very special, I have good memories of this tournament. Playing on the surface benefits me, especially here in the States. All the tournaments are close together and I love playing this time of year."
