Nick Kyrgios dropped a laughing emoji on a post about Casper Ruud's shock US Open second-round loss. On Wednesday, 2022 US Open finalist Ruud exited the last Grand Slam of the season early after world No 67 Zhang Zhizhen handed the fifth-seeded Norwegian a 6-4 5-7 6-2 0-6 6-2 loss.
"Another upset at the Open. Casper Ruud is out, he's been beaten by Triple Z, ZhiZhen Zhang 64 57 62 06 62. He will play Rinky Hijikata," Craig Gabriel wrote on X. Reacting to the post, Kyrgios just dropped a laughing emoji.

Kyrgios, Ruud have a bit of history
During a 2019 Rome Masters match - in which Kyrgios was disqualified - Ruud called the Australian "an idiot on the court.
Last year, Kyrgios and Ruud played for the first time since the Rome incident. In 2022 March, Kyrgios defeated Ruud 6-4 6-4 in the Indian Wells Masters third round. After the match, Kyrgios had a message for Ruud. "I hear no talking now.
I hear no talking now. None. (Expletive) none," Kyrgios said after beating Ruud in Indian Wells last year.
At the start of the 2023 season, Ruud was asked at the inaugural United Cup about his relationship.
Ruud acknowledged he and Kyrgios are not friends but suggested they could maybe have a fair relationship. "You know, I didn't receive a Christmas card from him; nor did he receive one from me. But if we see each other we can say hello and there's no hard feelings.
Nick is such a talented player, and he can beat anyone. I mean, you don't want to have a feud going on against him because he will probably want to bring his A-game every place," Ruud said of Kyrgios at the start of the 2023 season in Australia. Meanwhile, Kyrgios and Ruud haven't played against each other since their 2022 Indian Wells meeting.
