Paula Badosa approved Stefanos Tsitsipas being in the company of Nick Kyrgios as the 2022 Wimbledon finalist told the Spanish tennis star that her boyfriend is "the captain" of their Greek team.
This week, Kyrgios, Tsitsipas, and Thanasi Kokkinakis posed for a photo at Melbourne Park. Kyrgios and Kokkinakis, who were born in Australia and represent the nation, have a Greek heritage.
When posting the photo, Kyrgios sent out a cryptic caption that some interpreted as the 28-year-old potentially hinting at switching his nationality from Australia to Greece.
"Things could be looking nice for team Greece soon," Kyrgios captioned his Instagram post.
In the comment section, Tsitsipas wrote "Davis Cup loading..." Kokkinakis also reacted, writing: "Trouble...(laughing emoji)."

Badosa, who has been dating Tsitsipas since mid-2023, absolutely loved the photo.
Responding to Badosa's comment, Kyrgios wrote: "@paulabadosa your boy is the captain."
Kyrgios' cryptic post comes in the wake of him withdrawing from the upcoming Paris Olympics. Kyrgios, who has been sidelined since June due to a wrist injury, revealed this week that even if healthy, he won't be representing Australia at the 2024 Paris Olympics, which kick off on July 26th.
As the reason for his decision, Kyrgios listed "disrespectful" treatment from the Australian Olympic Committee and their decision not to allow him to compete at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
“One thing I will guarantee, though, is that if I am fit and ready to play, I won’t be making myself available for the Olympics,” Kyrgios wrote in a column for The Sydney Morning Herald.
“The way I was treated by the Australian Olympic Committee and former chef de mission Kitty Chiller will never be forgotten. To ban me from playing at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games was a disgrace. I was No. 13 at the time and had a genuine chance at winning a medal."
