University of Virginia gets the All-Academic Team honor

The University of Virginia men's tennis team earned the All-Academic Team honors for posting a team GPA of 3.20 or better. This is the ninth consecutive year that Virginia has earned the team award. To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must meet the following criteria: be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a scale of 4.00) for the current academic year, and be enrolled in the current school for at least two semesters.

Not only: four UVA men's tennis players have been named 2023 ITA All-Academic Scholar-Athletes.They are Chris Rodesch, Ty Switzer, Jeffrey von der Schulenburg and Douglas Yaffa earned the accolade. They get the honor with honors announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

We also recall University of Virginia head coach Andres Pedroso has been named the Wilson/ITA National Coach of the Year by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, it announced.Pedroso was also the 2022 Wilson/ITA National Coach of the Year after leading the No.

7 Cavaliers to the NCAA title, winning 23 straight games to close out that season. He was the 2014 ITA National Assistant Coach of the Year in his previous stint with the Cavaliers
