About the ITA Kickoff Weekend

The ITA Kickoff Weekend is one of the premier events of the spring season that brings together the top 60 men's and women's college tennis teams for a weekend of intense competition. Hosted by 15 men's and women's programs from across the country, the ITA Kickoff Weekend is an early-season test for teams against programs they might not normally face

The stakes will be high for Kickoff Weekend as all 120 competing teams will attempt to be just one of 15 teams of each gender to advance to the ITA National Indoor Team Championships. Each season, the ITA Kickoff Weekend field is determined by the ITA Kickoff Weekend Draft held in the summer months following the dual-game season. The top 15 teams ranked in the final ITA rankings of the season will automatically serve as hosts for both the men's and women's teams

In the draft, teams and coaches have the ability to choose where they would like to play. The predictions start with the team no. 16 in the rankings and end with the team no. 60 in the rankings.

With four teams playing at each host site, the winning teams from the opening round will meet in the second round to determine who will advance to the 2024 ITA National Indoor Team Championships.

The winner of the Charlottesville Regional Tournament will earn a spot in the ITA National Team Indoor Championships, which will be held Feb. 16-19 in New York City.
