Caroline Garcia is absolutely stunned at some of the comments made about Novak Djokovic following the Serb's Australian Open exit as the Frenchwoman finds it "funny" how quickly certain people change opinions.

After being a finalist in all four Grand Slams last year and adding three Majors to his name, Djokovic entered the Australian Open as the No. 1 favorite for the title, with many praising the 36-year-old for his "astonishing longevity and dominance."

But then something unexpected happened as Djokovic suffered his first Australian Open semifinal loss after Jannik Sinner beat the top-seeded Serb 6-1 6-2 6-7 (6) 6-3. Prior to the Sinner loss, Djokovic had been 10-0 in his semifinals at Melbourne Park.

Following Djokovic's performance and loss to Sinner, some started claiming that we may have seen the last of the record 24-time Grand Slam champion.

Garcia: This is funny, just two weeks ago Djokovic was the GOAT

"I was scrolling a bit and basically Djokovic was the GOAT 2 weeks ago, still so young, moving so well beyond of this age, going for another Slam once again, a true inspiration. And now he is too old, we are in a completely new era, he is finished for tennis … this is funny," Garcia wrote on X.

After not clinching a single break point against Sinner and being completely outplayed by the Italian, record 10-time Australian Open champion Djokovic candidly admitted that it was one of his "worst" performances at the Slam level. Also, Djokovic acknowledged that he wasn't really playing his best tennis throughout the tournament.

Meanwhile, former world No. 4 Garcia started her Australian Open in quite some style, beating four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka 6-4 7-6 (2). But then, Garcia failed to back up her win over Osaka as the Frenchwomen exited the tournament in the second round following a surprise loss to Magdalena Frech.
