WTA Doha: Swiatek and Pegula won the semis to get the final, the highlights

Iga Swiatek and Jessica Pegula will compete for the title in WTA in Doha. Respectively number one and number two in seeding. The American tennis player, one of the players in the best shape of the last year, defeated the Greek Maria Sakkari in three sets, with the final score of 6-1 4-6 6-1.

For the Polish number one, dizzying numbers. After the 6-0 6-1 against Danielle Collins in the round of 16 and the forfeit of Belinda Bencic in the quarterfinals, the world number one with another 6-0 6-1 gets rid of Veronika Kudermetova and reaches the fourteenth final in career.

Below the highlights of the WTA Doha semifinals:

What is happening the ATP Buenos Aires

Lorenzo Musetti falls at the foot of the semifinals in Buenos Aires against a player who simplistically does everything better. Fresh from the qualifying siege, from the victory against Thiem and in the first quarter-final of his career in the major circuit, the Peruvian tennis player makes perfect use of the bad day of the Italian talent and with a double 6-4 he gains access to the semifinals.

On the other hand, he plays a game that borders on perfection. Musetti concedes the serve in the fifth game and can't find weapons good enough to get back on track. He also accomplices an adversary that basically eliminates unforced errors from the project.

The script remains the same in the second set, with the Peruvian shooting up 2-0, which contains the only comeback attempt by the blue tennis player and who restores the hierarchies of the day at 4-3. Called to close, then, he is not wrong.

Waiting for him will be Cameron Norrie, who also thanks to the rain, which is needed to help after the 7-5 Etcheverry, manages to survive with a 6-0 6-3 in the final. In his second appearance of the season on the ATP Tour, after the forced absence from the Australian Open, Carlos Alcaraz finds a minimum of normality, getting the semifinals of the ATP tournament in Buenos Aires.

After the roller coaster ride with Laslo Djere, the Spanish tennis player, obviously number one in the seeding in Argentina, breaks down Dusan Lajovic's resistance without particular difficulties with a very rocky 6-4 6-2 and reaches Zapata Miralles in the semifinals.
