“I think I will miss the other players who, in a certain sense, have been my family over the years. We've known each other for so long, and it does not matter if you talk to someone more than someone else. Every week you cross each other’s paths, the same people. I'll see some of them again, but it will not be the same thing.
But I think I'll miss the competition too. When you come on the court, especially if it's against a powerhouse, you try something really special. On the other hand, I'm really happy to start the next part of my life.
What makes me proudest? Being able to be strong, always. I had a lot of injuries and I had to start from scratch several times. I think this is a very important thing. Being able to start again every time and always find the mental strength to go on.”
