Tennis- 19-year-old French girl Oceane Dodin won her first WTA title on Sunday at the Coupe Banque Nationale WTA Tournament in Quebec City when she defeated the American qualifier Lauren Davis in straight sets 6-4, 6-3 in the final.
Dodin was appearing in her first ever WTA final, as she had never reached even a semifinal of WTA event before. On the other hand Davis was appearing in second WTA final of the career, as she had lost the first final against Yanina Wickmayer couple of months back in Washington.
This time Davis got off to a better start and broke Dodin in the first game of the match. Few games later Dodin got the break back and broke Davis once more to go 4-2 up. This time Davis got the break back and levelled it at 4-4.
Dodin got another break in the 10th game to take the first set 6-4. In the second set momentum was on French girl's side, as she raced to a 3-0 lead. Davis got the break back few games later but Dodin got another break to go 4-2 up.
