Australian James Duckworth is in some fine form, reaching his maiden ATP semi-finals at the recently concluded Maharashtra Open. With a career best ranking of No.82 on the ATP Charts, Duckworth entered the tournament at No.96 on the ATP Charts and reached No.83 following his fantastic result.
Duckworth, who reached No.82 in the world in April, 2015 has had a career barred with injuries. Undergoing as many as 5 surgeries throughout 2017 and 2018, he was the leader of most matches won on the ATP Challenger Tour last year with 49 wins which included four titles from six finals he reached.
" It has been a lot of hard work for me. I have been out of tennis since the latter part of 2017 and have gone through five major operations. This is for my family who have supported me. I’m glad to get back to the Top 100 as it guarantees entry into bigger events," he said.
