Brandon Nakashima is the man of the moment in American men's tennis and in general this last month in the sport outside the Olympic Games. The American tennis player is regarded as one of the main talents in world tennis and in the United States there is great optimism about his future.
In recent days Brandon made his entry into the Top 100, reached the final, albeit losing both, in the Los Cabos and Atlanta tournaments, attracting the attention of many insiders. Many compare him for mentality as well as for some aspect of his game to the world number one Novak Djokovic but several times the now twenty-year-old tennis player has calmed the waters by trying to fly low.
The tournament in Washington also started in the best way for Nakashima who beat in two sets quite clearly an opponent not as simple as the Australian Alexei Popyrin, who was defeated 6-3 6-3. In the next round, the 20-year-old American will challenge Daniel Evans, seeded British tennis player, in the next round.
Nakashima's words in Washington
Brandon Nakashima turned twenty and the stars and stripes tennis player made the following statements: "It's always hard for us, especially when you are playing the final of a tournament, you lose it and after two days you have another tournament.
and you have to challenge a top tennis player. In the end I just try to tell myself to stay calm, focus and think about what I do best. All these matches on hard court have helped me to have faith in my game, I can compete with everyone and play my game." The explosion of Nakashima came unexpectedly with the young player who hadn't won a match on the tour before Los Cabos in several months and now boasts a streak of 9 wins and two losses that have allowed him to enter the Top 100.
Nakashima is yet another prospect talent from the United States who, after Sebastian Korda and Frances Tiafoe, could find a new world perspective talent.
