Stan Wawrinka goes crazy and sprays the Gstaad ball kids with champagne!

Stan Wawrinka and Dominic Stricker took the doubles Swiss Open 2023 title in Gstaad, and to celebrate, Wawrinka spays the ball kids with champagne. Stan and Stricker won the title by defeating Marcelo Demoliner and Matwe Middelkoop, ending the match with a final score of 7-6(8), 6-2.

The Tennis Letter tweeted: "Stan Wawrinka celebrated his doubles title win at home in Switzerland by spraying the ball kids with champagne." After winning the doubles title, the 3-time Grand Slam champion decided to celebrate his victory by showering the young local ball boys with champagne.

This was Wawrinka's first doubles title after winning the 2013 Chennai Open partnering Benoit Paire.

Stan Wawrinka: "Right now I'm not at Novak Djokovic's level"

Stan Wawrinka could do nothing against Novak Djokovic, in their match at Wimbledon 2023.

The Swiss tennis player had to capitulate in three sets, although in the last one he managed to put the Serbian in difficulty by reaching the tie break and then lost. Stan, however, reached an honorable third round and then went out with the defending champion.

In fact, at the press conference, the three-time Grand Slam winner said he was satisfied with his presentation: "It's difficult for me to face him here at Wimbledon. In the end I'm quite satisfied with my performance. At least I struggled in the end when I was playing better and was more focused on myself.

Right now I'm not on his level, either in terms of confidence, or my game, or anything else.
The atmosphere was great and a chance to play on this center court again. It will always be special to play with the roof and at night against Novak.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and the game. I could have done a little better at the end of the match, I made two mistakes in a row at the wrong time. A few years ago I was very, very thin. I had to deal with some stomach problems.

Now I feel great. There are many other aspects to consider besides body weight, such as dynamics, power and flexibility. I've always worked on my flexibility: I've been repeatedly told its importance in terms of longevity. There's a lot of work to do: before every training session and match. This helps me make my career longer and still compete at the highest level."
