Rising American star Christopher Eubanks claims the US Open is his favorite tournament. The 21-year-old just made his debut at Flushing Meadows this past week. Israel's Dudi Sela had no sympathy for the youngster, defeating him in straight sets in round one. However, Eubanks was competing in New York even after the singles loss, having reached the men's doubles round two with fellow compatriot Christian Harrison. The two lost concluded their doubles campaign on Sunday.
"US Open," Eubanks told Tennis Channell. Eubanks also revealed that the city of Atlanta is his favorite city. The world No. 324 had a quarter-final showing at the BB&T Atlanta Open a month ago.
He surprised fellow American rising stars Taylor Fritz and Jared Donaldson, before he fell to another American Ryan Harrison. Eubanks favorite athlete is not a tennis star -- it's a three-time NBA champion and Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James.
